I am interested in contacting any researchers that are researching the family of George Ashdown, who lived in New Zealand from 1840. He and his Maori wife had a number of children as listed below:

Ellen (Helene) b. 1836 who emigrated to Australia and married a James Lishman Wilberforce in 1857
James David Ashdown b. 1838 who married Sarah Ellen Lowry in 1863
Louise Ashdown b. 1839 who married a John Mills in 1856
Maria (or Maraea) Ashdown b. 1839 who married a John Guard
Sarah Jane Ashdown b. 1846 who married a Samuel James Clegg in 1869
William George Ashdown b. 1850 who married a Ada Secker in 1891.
