I am looking for information on the Ashley family. They came from Washingtonville,NY. My great great grandfather was Silvester Ashley, great grandfather was George W. and grandfather was James Henry. I am trying to find who Silvester Ashley's parents were and have run into a brick wall. I found Silvester in the 1850 Fed. Census and have not been able to find him in any census after that. Does anyone have information that would help me?
