m Laura Virginia JONES 1890 LA

Adville 1800/10 SC-1842 St Helena parish LA
m1) Sarah Ann FLUKER 1826 St Helena parish LA
m2)Nancy DAVIS 1833 St Helena parish LA
(wives were prob related, Nancy's paternal grandmother was a FLUKER)
Adville b c. 1760 Camden dist, Clarendon co SC,
poss son of James ATKINSON d 16 Oct 1786 St Mark's parish, Camden dist, Craven co SC
Is the b 1760 Adville your Feliciana Adville? The Felicianas, St Helena, and Tangipahoa seems to have a lot of back-and-forth between the residents from my family
lines, which include ATKINS, JONES, BOOKER, DAVIS, and KENDRICK.
The area known as Spanish West Florida became part of the US by 1812 and eventually became these parishes lined up along the Mississippi state line west to east:
West Feliciana (created from Feliciana in 1824)
East Feliciana (seceded from Feliciana in 1824)
St Helena (created from Livingston in 1810)
Tangipahoa (created from Livingston, St Tammany, St Helena and Washington in 1869)
Washington (created from St Tammany in 1819)
BTW: I found the will of William SPRAGGINS/SPRAGINS of Abbeville dist SC, signed 23 Oct 1821, executed 15 Jan 1827, which names a child "Tabithe ADKINSON" An image of the typescript can be found online at the South Carolina Dept of Archives and History website.
