My family, I believe, is from Westmoreland County or thereabouts - they spelled their name as Atwell but also as Attwell and in one instance Atwill. I am also looking for the Davis family of the Alexandria area (early 1800s) though I assume that your last name is unrelated to that family (stranger things have happened, though...right?).
