I have just seen your reply to Adele in 2003 concerning the Aubertin family from Andover. We are descended from Col Charles Aubertin. My Grandfather was James Aubertin Grace, born 20 March 1877, Gosport, died Dec 1962, Barry. His cousin, daughter of Eleanor, married Derek Hindle.
Perhaps you have already been in touch with my cousin, Norman Hopkins and his daughter Gail Hughes who have done a lot of research on the family history.
27 descendents of James Aubertin Grace met in Barry last weekend to meet each other and visit the places associated with him. I think Philip Walters said there were now 65 descendants in 4 generations.
