Frederick Auch was the son of John G. Auch, who was born in Riederich, Germany in 1823. His wife was Anna Maria Sterr, born in Kleinbettlingen in 1826, which is very near Riederich. They left Germany in 1850, travelling straight to Chillicothe, Ohio because Anna Maria's uncle Gottlieb Sterr had been living there for nearly 10 yrs. They crossed the Atlantic with a very small child named Frederick, who would have been your great grandfather. He was married twice - his first marriage was to Elizabeth Limle. They had 3 children. After her passing, he married Rachel Reinhardt and had 7 children with her. Frederick had 6 brothers and 3 sisters: George, David, John, Gottlieb, Adam, Henry, Marie, Catherine, & Lucy. My great grandfather was Adam Auch.
