Bonjour
A trip to Bluebbonnet unless you own Albert J Robichaux's The Acadian Exiles in Saint-Malo 1758-1785
Married 27 Apr 1784 St-Vincent of Nantes Loire-Atl
Vol 1 pg 194-196 Entry for Anne, Joseph, his parents and siblings.
Vol III pg 1152-1153 is a translation of their marriage.
pg 1154 has an image of the (civil?)copy of the church register.
pg 1146-1147 are translations of Joseph's Parents & Cheramy Grandparents marriage.
pg 1157 Three generation chart from Joseph's grasndparents.
If you need a better copy of Anne & Joseph's marriage follow the instructions on Vol 1 p xii & vii-ix
I believe the Morbihan registers are on-line so you (we?) may be able to get Joseph's birth, parents & Grandparents marriage & other children birth. Do you read French?
=========================
Dios of Baton Rouge v 2 p 186
Do you have the image of the birth of their son also Joseph?
Joseph the father 2nd marriage to Gertrudes Michel?
==========================
Do you know how they got to Louisiane?
I cannot find Joseph in Hebert Acadian families.... or Reider & Reider Crew & Passangers...
On La Ville d'Archangel are most of the Aucoins could Anne have been mistakenly listed as a daughter?
There are a dozen men including two Aucoins who were not on the departure list but were issued equipment after arrivial. Joseph was a cobbler (shoemaker). I wonder if the Spanish were planning for him to stay in New Orleans?
email me at
