William Eugene Aud was my grandfather. This line has been well documented until early 1900s. I would be happy to share info.

William had a daughter named Mary Catherine b. 1903, son Joseph Leo b. 1909 from his first marriage to Elizabeth James, b. 1878. They lived in Louisville. Willam was originally from Bardstown, Nelson Co, KY.

Does your Catherine Aud connect with my line?

I am from the Aud's of St. Mary's County, Maryland. I can not go back farther than Thomas Aud who married female Green. He was to have come from Europe, (England?). Do you have anything on the St. Mary's branch.

Just joined ancestry. I am from the Auds of St. Mary's County. Wm I Aud born 1826 had two wives, first Mary Ann Bell second Emily Milburn. I am from the line of Emily. Mary Bell according to what I have had a Mary Ann also called Mollie that married John P. Bean Sept 1878. Maybe they are one in the same? I am trying to find out about Wm I Aud ~ I have his father as Ignatius Aud ( 2nd wife Ann Louise Watts)and his father as John Henry Aud and his father Wm. I Aud (Eleanor Tennyson or Tennison) and there I stop. Looking for earlier Aud or the jump over the Alantic ocean. Can you help?

My name is Donna Aud. My husband was from Marion, IL. His father was Roy Aud. His grandfather was a pastor at a small church just outside Marion. That's all I know. I too would love to find out more about my son's family. I am told the Aud's came from Scotland. I am also told that, because of the discrimination suffered by Irish/Scottish immigrants during the mid 1800's, the original surname of McAudric was shortened to Aud because it sounded more German than Scottish.

Michael, My mother was your grandpa's sister. Mom's name was Belva Irene (Aud) Payton. I remember Billy Gene a little bit, he was quite a lot older than I. I remember Uncle Ab (Prince Albert) and his wife Aunt Marie very well.

I would like to get information on Grandma's family I have the same information on her. I have a copy of her death certificate.
I'am unable to seem to locate the next generation back. Awhile back we talked with Robert Palmer Aud of Whitesville Kentucky and I believe he said that greatgreat grandma was from Texas.
But not sure of her first name Lura Lightfreed ??
We will be in Kentucky the end of the month in Whitesville to see Robert P. Aud if you are related to him contact them. We won't be able to stay long for we have to be in Chicago on 9/30/99 to see our youngest daughter graduate from boot camp.
Hope we can meet with you, its a long drive from Florida.

Ellen Generose Aud was the daughter of Atha Aud and Virginia Lee Duvall. Ellen was born Mar. 13, 1890 in Daviess County, KY and died Mar. 24, 1969 in Muhlenberg County, KY. She married Lawrence A. Sapp on Jan. 28, 1908 in Daviess County, KY. He was born July 13, 1886 in Whitesville, Daviess County, Ky and died Jan. 21, 1967 at Whitesville, Daviess County, KY. They had a son, Joseph H. Sapp, born Dec. 18, 1912 and died Oct. 11, 1913 and is buried in Whitesville, Daviess County. KY.
Have much more on Ellen's sisters, brothers, and their families. Nothing else on the Sapp line, but am interested in sharing information about and and all Auds and their descendants. Thomas L. Aud

My mother Juretta Virginia Sapp was the daughter of Ellen Genarose Aud who married Lawrence Armond Sapp Sr. Her parents were Atha Aud Virgina Lee Duvall.
They lived in Kentucky, Muhlenberg County. Need information on other family members. There are some still living in Owensboro, Kentucky.

I am still seeking information regarding Aaron Aud - his parents or grandparents? I can't figure out where he belongs in the Aud puzzle. I'm not sure if there is more than one - I found some information on an Aaron born Sept 2, 1861 in Gallatin County, Illinois. I know one Aaron Aud married Myra Thompson -is this the same Aaron? Anyone with information to help me put this to rest would be greatly appreciated.

Ralph, Ellen Aud was my grandmother also. Aunt Juretta was my dad's sister. My father passed away in 1985. The other siblings are still in Lou, Indiana and Fl.

My grandmother was Hattie Aud who married Millard Allen. She was a sister to Oscar Aud. Their parents were Wm and Eliza (Satterfield)Aud. I have a picture of Eliza when she was about 16 yrs old. I am sorry that it took me so long to reply. Been having
computer problems. I am not sure, but I believe that my
grandfather did have a sister named Emma. Papah was from
Poplar Bluff, Mo. and I lived with my Mother in Bastrop, La.
I am not real familiar with all the relatives and I should be
ashamed I know. I have another cousin on this site that may
be able to answer your question. Her e-mail is ebersole@
semo.net. She was very close to my grandparents and I know
she would know about Papah's sisters. If it's correct, then I

If Prince Albert Auds father was Oscar, then you have found a cousin. My Grandmother was Hattie Aud,dau of Wm and Elisa Jane (Satterfield) Aud. So Oscar was her brother. Did Albert have a sister named Emma? Please reply.
