I am delighted to have heard from you. I have been searching for Audaers for some time, particularly in America as I had heard that Walter had emigrated there with three of the children. My Aunt Alice(Metcalf) married Walter son of George Allen Audaer in 1907 and their eldest child Edith was born the following year. After that there was Patience, Dorothy and a son known as Sonny. Alice died in 1918 and Edith was sent out to New Zealand to be cared for by Grandma (Metcalf) and her family. She lost contact with her family after a while, and never heard from them again. Edith married and had two children -June and a younger sister. About three years ago I discovered that June lives close to the school where I teach so I have been in touch with her ever since. June will be thrilled to know that she has a cousin, as Edith also lost contact with the Metcalf family here in Christchurch.
