Dr. Ronald Richard Harris died Jan. 11, 2004, in Cañon City, CO. He was born Feb. 9, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., to Harold C. and Maxine D. (Aufdenberg) Harris.
He graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Mo., in 1968. He married Nancy J. Jones in 1980, in Jackson, Mo.
He served in the Air Force from 1972 to 1978, and in the National Guard until 1983.
Dr. Harris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1979. He obtained his Masters of Arts degree in psychology in 1998 from Regis University in Denver and his Doctor of Psychology degree from Southern California University in 2003.
As a licensed and nationally certified counselor, he ran a private practice, taught as an Adjunct Professor at Pueblo Community College in Pueblo and was a published author.
Dr. Harris is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his only son, Aaron Richard Jones Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
