Well, it all starts in Galicia...Wow, sorry......so I went back to my Augenblicks, but my "Malke" was actually Malke Leib, married to Aaron Speiser. They seemed to have used Augenblick and Augaphel almost interchangably. But we have to be related SOMEHOW! Please switch to my real email....barryg@celebconn.com

I's been difficult using only JewishGen and JRI-Poland without other resources. I'll try to remind you next week, but if you could make a note, just in case I can't find my way back to this site?

I accessed a new piece of my family tree recently from a new-found 2nd cousin and remember Malke Augenblick being on there. If you remind me next week I'll finish polishing up the tree and forward it to you.

Most likely "East Galicia" was Tarnopol, where my Augenblick ancestor Malke (nee Augenblick) Bomze was from.

Have you tried JewishGen database or JRI - Poland? May be of help.

My great-grandmother--Malke Augenblick Bomze, from Galicia, One of her sons, Elo Bomse/Bomze, from Mikulince/Mikulintsy was my grandfather. Another of her sons my father remembers as his uncle Avraham Bomze, a goldsmith. Can anyone tell me who the parents of Malke were?

I have a naturalization petition card for Bernard Falk,
dated 12/18/1896 at U.S. District Court, New York, N.Y.

He resided at 53 Monroe St., lower east side, N.Y.C., occupation was: Ins. Agent (*Insurance Agent*), born 6/4/1868, Austria,
arrived Philadelphia, Pa 5/15/1890.

His witness was:

William Augenblick, 219 Broome St., N.Y. City, Agent

My mother Rose Rubin's mother was an Augenblicht before she married Itzhak Zorne. They came from East Galicia. She is still alive and we would like very much to find more information about the extended family. I am wondering whether you could assist us.
