A great granddaughter of Alvina Dargis and Patrick Auger informed me on December 27, 2011 that the information in the Commemerative Biographical Record of the Upper Lake Region (Wisconsin & Minnesota) by J. H. Beers & Co. Pub. 1905 was incorrect as relates to some people in the article on Patrick Auger starting on page 245.

Zua Bartlett's first name was Zoe and her surname was Berthelot (also spelled Berthelotte). Zoe probably anglicized the name purposely and most descendants would know her as Bartlett. Zoe’s husband was Louis Auger rather than Lewis.

Patrick Auger’s wife was Alvina Dargis of Canada. Alvina was the daughter of Alexis Dargis and Elmire Hamelin not the Peter and Edmer Hamelen) Dargis listed in the biography. I have posted the Beer’s 1905 biographical write up on my Ancestry tree and would like to share the information that I was given.
