My grandmother's maiden name is Russoniello. Here name was Lucy (Lucia) Russoniello born abt. 1916. She lived in New Jersey.

HI Canadian cousin Ann Carley,
Isn't the internet funny? I started messing with ancestry.com awhile back,
mostly with my Moms side of the family.I just resently discovered some
Augusta info,but I also came to a dead end at Victor and Marie in L.A.
I am 7th of 8,my father was Robert 1927,grandfather George Vance 1891,
great GF Delbert Rankin 1861,gr gr GF Charles Lewis 1835,gr gr gr GF Charles 1793and gr gr gr gr GF Victor.
My older brother has told me an old story how
Victor and Marie leave LA. around the Louisiana Purchase 1801.
Move to Madagascar(an island off of Africa) and are killed during a slave
uprising-young Charles is rescued by his nanny and survives as a cabin boy
on a ship.Not sure if this is true-I can't find any info on this.

We are kin! Herbert Henry Augusta was my grandfather. My maiden name was Ann Carley Augusta. Herbert Henry had three sons. Fredrick, Herbert and Ralph(my father)My grandfather came to Canada, and settled in Saskatchewan, and because he was the only one who came north, it was and still is exciting to find another Augusta.
When I was searching for my ancestors, I only got as far back as Victor Auguste, who I believe came to New Orleans from France, and was married to Marie Marat. He was I believe, my grandfather's grandfather.

my great grand father was Delbert Rankin Augusta
son of Charles Lewis Augusta and Sarah Jane Rankin
born 1861 Monticello,Me
Charles died in the Civil War , April 1865
I believe Sarah Jane remarried/ Charles' brother John Augusta
John's first wife Elizabeth Luce died in 1864
they had 3 boys
Herbert Henry Augusta 1859
Albert Fremont Augusta 1861
and John Scott Augusta 1863
do any of these names sound familiar?

My grandfather's name was Herbert Henry Augusta, and he had a brother Charles who lived in Boston Mass. My grandfather came to Canada from Iron River Wisconsin. I'm new to this and so I have very little information. The Charles you are looking for may have been a son.

I have found an Augusta and Starke home in Montpelier VA. A D. Agusta and she married G Starke. She was born in 1824 and died in 1905. I know where the house and the family grave yeard is.

looking for Charles Augusta

I'm looking for any information on Charles Edward Augusta. I'v sent off for his SSapp but it will be a while. I can't seem to locate any information of his parents. He was born 21Apr1919 in MA and married Ester Mae Smith. He died in Sept of 1961 in MA.
