Irene A. Aulenbach, 92, former co-owner of a local greenhouse business, died July 18 at 10:20 a.m. in the Masonic Homes of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, where she had been a patient for five weeks.

Aulenbach, of Mohnton, formerly of Lower Alsace Township, had been predeceased by her husband, Arthur I. Aulenbach, on July 14, 1984.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lilac (Wilson) Sherman.

Aulenbach, along with her husband, co-owned and operated Aulenbach?s Green Houses, Lower Alsace Township, for 25 years, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Reiffton.

Aulenbach is survived by two sons, Grant M., with whom she last resided, and Neil I., Brecknock Township.

Other survivors include a sister, Evelyn (Aulenbach) Kilar, DesPlaines, Ill.

There are also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Exeter Township. Burial will be in Spies (Zion) Cemetery, Alsace Township.

Anella M. Aulenbach, 74, Reading, was dead of natural causes on arrival in Reading Hospital Sept. 10 at 1:25 p.m..

Her husband, Richard P. Aulenbach, died March 25, 1991.

Born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Anna (DeShan) Cammarano.

Aulenbach had been employed for more than 20 years by Kott’s Bakery Stand at the Fairgrounds Market, last working early in the 1990s.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Aulenbach was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra A. (Aulenbach) Dolan, Cumru Township, and two sons, Richard P. Jr., Wyomissing, and James D., Harrisburg.

Other survivors include a sister, Anna (Cammarano) Tomasi, Exeter Township, and three brothers: Peter N. and Dominic J. Cammarano, both of Laureldale, and Joseph M. Cammarano, Wyomissing.

There are also 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Reading, is in charge of arrangements.

Charles E. Aulenbach, 86, formerly of East Main Street, Kutztown, died Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. in Kutztown Manor Inc., where he had resided since Oct. 23.

His wife, Evelyn M. (Manbeck) Aulenbach, died March 13, 2001.

Born in Alsace Township, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Hettie (Manwiller) Aulenbach.

Aulenbach was a farmer for 20 years in Richmond Township and was last employed for 10 years as a laborer by Deka Battery, Lyons, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.

Aulenbach was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean (Aulenbach) Hugo, Kutztown; and three sons: Harold, Mertztown; and Richard and James, both of Kutztown.

Other survivors include a brother, Louis, Fleetwood; and five sisters: Esther (Aulenbach) Dautrich, Muhlenberg Township; Betty (Aulenbach) Strause, Fleetwood; Helen (Aulenbach) Mayhew, East Greenbush, N.Y.; Dorothy (Aulenbach) Stitzer, Fleetwood; and Ada (Aulenbach) Rohrbach, in South Carolina.

There are also seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's UCC. Burial will be in Zion (Maxatawny) Church Cemetery. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.

Clarence W. "Spider" Aulenbach, 79, Laureldale, died March 2 at 6:42 p.m. in Reading Hospital, shortly after admission.

He was the husband of Barbara Ann (Koch) Aulenbach.

Born in Laureldale, he was a son of the late Charles I. Aulenbach and Dorothy M. (Sutter) Aulenbach-Kline. He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Milton Kline.

Aulenbach had been employed for 37 years in maintenance by Bachman's Bakery, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1988.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Aulenbach is also survived by two sons, Charles W., Northmont, and Michael S., West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

Other survivors include a half sister, Mildred (Kline) Koller, Leesport.

There are also four grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.

Edwin Aulenbach, 84, Alsace Township, former owner of a local orchard, died Aug. 19 at 1:27 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where he had been a patient since Aug. 9.

His wife, Corieene M. (Moatz) Aulenbach, died April 7.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry and Laura (Wolfe) Aulenbach.

Aulenbach was the owner and operator of Mount Laurel Orchards, Alsace Township, for 40 years, retiring in 1984.

He had also been employed for several years as a truck driver by Consolidated Freightways Corp.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Aulenbach is survived by a daughter, Yvonne C. (Brant) Moyer, Alsace Township.

There are also four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-granddaughters.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Salem (Shalters) Church Cemetery, Alsace Township.

My mother's maiden name is Aulenbach and I just wanted to see if I had some distant relatives who knew her.
Mom's name Gail Aulenbach, her father was Harry Aulenbach, they lived in Baker Settlement County, then my mom moved to Alexandria. She has 14 brothers and sisters. Here a few: Duke Aulenbach, Emily Aulenbach, Virginia Aulenbach, Grace Aulenbach, Marilyn Aulenbach, Sheri Aulenbach. There are more, but I don't know all there names.
