Charles W. Aulenbacher, age 77,
beloved husband of Joan Work Aulenbacher,
died Friday, November 25, 2011,
following an extended illness.
Born in Erie,County,PA, February 19, 1934,
he was a son of the late Louis and Shirley (Marsh) Aulenbacher. Charles attended Fairview High School and was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Lord Retiree Group. He enjoyed classic and antique cars and liked riding motorcycles in earlier years.
Charles was an outgoing person and will always be remembered for his smile and sense of humor.

a grandson, Calvin; a brother, Herbert Aulenbacher.
and a sister, Phoebe( Aulenbacher) Henry."
Survivors include his wife, Joan; four children, Chuck Aulenbacher, wife, Terri, of Fairview, Betty Croxall, husband, Dennis, of Millcreek, Steven Aulenbacher, of Edinboro, and Edward Aulenbacher, of Newville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Zachary, Lydia, Jennifer, Steven Jr., Elizabeth, and Joey; three step-children, Randy Work, wife, Brenda, of Millcreek, Cynthia Work, of Millcreek, and Kevin Work, of Erie,County,pa,
a brother, George Aulenbacher.
a sister, Shirley Renner.
and a good friend, Frank Scheu.
Several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews
also survive. Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., Monday from 2-4 and 7 p.m. until the time of a service at 8:30 p.m., with Rev.
