Hello, I knew the family. They lived in Miami, FL. off 92nd Avenue and about SW 16th Street. Juanita and Christine were sisters. Never met the brother John. The Mother did get divorced while I was dating Juanita. I met her in summer school when she attended Miami Coral Park Senior High School back in 1968. I was truly in love with her and havent forgot her since. After I got out of the Army she and I met for just a weekend and havent seen her since 1972. Are you relatives of theirs? Please contact me.

I recently was given two pictures. I know they are related to Mary Eliza (Wright) Owens who was the daughter of Barbara J. Ault and the granddaughter of Frederick & Elizabeth(Toothman) Ault.

One is a toddler picture of Emil Ault, Fred's boy.
The other is a young Ada Ault, a cousin. Taken by W.M.Wesner of Newberry, IN.

Can anyone help further identify these people and how they connect to my branch of the Aults.

I would like to query you about your information on Henry and Dora Ault, my grandparents. I never heard grandma referred to as Elizabeth, but just this past week found a picture labelled 'Lucas family" in a family album. How does that relate to the previous listed Wm. Henry Ault and Dora Sorquis. Sorquis was my Grandmother's maiden name. Was Henry J. the father of Wm. Henry? I would love to email with you.

To those who are interested...
My DAR application,1991,was accepted exactly as submitted on Heinrich "Henry" Ault. I have been a member of the organization for the past nineteen years.
Please use my application to prove any genealogical question you might have on my direct line.
VALENTINE ALT: FOUR GENERATIONS OF AULT DESCENDANTS by Bill Kincaid, 2000, pg. 362, 363, 365:
Kincaid was less than generous as to where he found the source of this information. It reminds me of a story I heard many years ago.
A young woman was overheard saying, "It only took me three weeks to trace my family history."
The woman did not reveal that her distant cousin had been researching the family for thirty-two years and shared her research with anyone who could prove kinship.
Mary Luan Hearn Moore

Tried the link in your post but it didn't work. I Have traced my Pickering line back to England. Helen Ault b. 1833? Her daughter was Eliza Ault Pickering b 1856 in Derbyshire, married to George Pickering. Helen immigrated in 1888. If you have any information matching that lineage I would love to hear from you!

This was in the Knoxville, TN newspaper -

AULT, Colonel Lawrence E.-age 61, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 21, 2009. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a prominent attorney in Knoxville practicing since 1979.......He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Geneva Ault. He is survived by loving sister, MaryLou Wilson and husband DeWayne.....

As the obit is rather lengthy I only typed what I thought might be pertinent to any Ault's. I am not related, but thought info might be useful to someone.

This is fairly random, since I have no relation to any Ault, but I own a house in Knoxville that has the name "George Ault" signed on one of the doorframes, which I discovered when I stripped off the paint. I'll take a picture before I repaint. I couldn't figure out which George this would have been, since of the two I found (in my five minutes of research) one was a barber and the other a blacksmith. The house was built in 1907.

My mother's maiden name was Ault. I have been trying to trace her family tree. She was born in Napane(sp?), NE in 1902. She had one brother, Floyd; and 4 sisters, Della, Irma, Michie, and Babe( no one knows her real name). Her fathers first name is unknown. He died in 1911. The family worked on a neighbors farm after his death. They then migrated in many directions; my mother went to U of Kansas and married shortly after graduation. Died in Pittsburgh in 1968. Della went to Kansas City, married later in life and moved to Massachusas. Irma and Babe were nurses in Kansas City, married. Irma had one son. Michie married and moved to Oregan. Floyd married, had a daughter. Last heard of he was in Chicago. If any of this fits into your family I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. John Button

Hi,
My wife is a descendant of the same Leonard Ault (via his last son, Francis Marion Ault). You can find pictures of her father (Ralph) and grandfather (Harvey Marion Ault) on my website, http://www.flickr.com/photos/MathTeacherGuy . You might want to click on the Ault Cemetery (near Morrison, Jefferson County, Colorado) link there. A number of people descended from Leonard Ault are buried there. I have pictures of all of their memorials that I could find. Many of the families that married into Andrew Jackson Ault's daughters are buried there (Andrew was the oldest son of Leonard Ault). These include Hennessey, Rider, Freeman and more.

You might want to post a photo of Barbara's grave on findagrave.com. It is free. You can post as little or as much information as you have.

You can e-mail me at ringtail8575@sbcglobal.net. Thanks

Nancy Ault contacted me back in 2002 about her Hopkins ancestors. Her e-mail is no longer valid and I have some info to share with her. Would appreciate help in making contact.
