You know i remember my father speaking to granny bout perse.
She'd say "enough"! And it would all end there. And this is probably why i cannot get much information. Also i believe, from family hear say that the reason Lottie was seperated from husband was, she was abused. Now that was a long time ago, and you know how family history changes from generation to generation. I am not accusing anyone. Wow, you have a great knowledge of the Nelson generation. Would you be so kind and let me know of anymore you may have. Most still live in Arkansas, and Illinois. Most have passed of heart complications. Thank you, Connie

Frank D.'s father was, I believe, William David Nelson, born about 1858 or 1860 in IL. This family is shown on the 1880 census for Richland County, IL. William David Nelson married a woman named Mary Norris in Olney, IL. I think these were Big Frank's parents. By 1900, William David Nelson was widowed and he "remarried" a Charlotte "Lottie" Edmiston in either IL or AR. They had at least two surviving sons, William R. and Frank born in 1905 IL and 1907 AR respectively. William David Nelson's stepson by this marriage was Frank Edmiston. Frank Edmiston's youngest daughter told me she remembered her Step-grandfather's visits because he had a long white beard and she was afraid of the beard.
By 1920 Lottie Nelson is living with Frank Edmiston and his wife and stepkids. She is saying she is a widow but I know that that is not true because I found William David Nelson living with Big Frank elsewhere in AR. He is also listed as a widower.
I have never found a marriage for William David Nelson and Lottie Edmiston. I suspect she died in AR but can't vouch for that. Frank Edmiston was my husband's great uncle and his mother is ggrandmother. William D. Also went by the name of Perse Nelson. This also may be one of the Skeletons in the genealogical closet. I am maggie Alberta Aust-Nelson's granddaughter. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. I also have a public family tree on ancestry.com. Franke Earnest Nelson was my Granfather. my father is his natural born son (Billie Wayne Nelson). He and my grandmother had seven children together, Frankie died from an infection of his appendix. Granny remarried a man named William Fry, he had children from a previous marriage, and together they had five children. Granny died on the family farm in Fontaine, Arkansas.
How is it, you are related? I am very interested, and need to know what you have, that i may not have.
Frank D. Nelson is my ggreat grandfather (big frank).

FYI: A correction on the death of my grandfather Henry Aust. Patrick Aust is my cousin. His parents are Pat and John Walter Aust. My mother Bettie K. Aust, the third sibling and sister of John Walter Aust now 86, and daughter of Henry and Billy Phillips Aust buried her father in New Orleans. Herny Aust died of a heart attack on a street car in New Orleans. My mother buried him, as well as her younger brother William Aust here in New Orleans. Her youngest sister Lois Aust Lacour who died of kidney failure after giving birth to her first child and my cousin is also buried New Orleans. My mother's older sister Sybil Aust Kitchens died in McLean, Virginia.

Hi, Im Jessica Aust , and i live in Adelaide, Australia. As far as i am aware there a 2 aust families in Australia one is german one is not. Im from the german side I have 1 brother his name is chris, and a son who is also an Aust his name is Jayden. my mothers name is Deborah and Fathers name is Derek Emil, the Aust name is from my fathers side so my dads, dads name is Garry Emil (Gerhard Otto) he migrated to Aus during WW2, His in contact stil with his living german family i hope this helps you out. please fill free to contact me with any questions.

I may be a first cousin to Abner Maurice Aust. My first's cousing mother was Mamie Clay Aust and she was married to Abner Aust. They had four children that I know of -- Maurice, Earline, Billie, and Mamie Lou. We are all from Mississippi.

Its so lovely to hear from someone connected to Albert, he is the eldest son of Fanny Sumsion and Elish Aust. This was Fanny's 2nd marriage she was married to William Mullins but he died. Fanny is my g grandfathers sister.

I believe his 1st wife and daughter died not long after they arrived in Western Australia is this right, he had a step daughter, she returned to england but I don't know what happened to her.

My husband Thomas Aust has a grandfather who came from Bristol. His name is Thomas Herbert Aust. His father is Thomas Richard Aust who was from Bristol. Thomas Richard 1841 and Mary Davies had three sons, Edward David, Thomas Herbert (who came to the United States) and John Stanley who never married. Do you have any of these Austs in your family? Hi I am looking for decendants of Jessie James Aust who was born in Colerne Wiltshire 1884 and moved and married in 1911 to I think Mary Davis they lived in the Cardiff Area Wales, he had two children that we know of, John J born 1922 and Peggy L born 1916. Hello, I can tell you that I too am a relative of the Aust family in Lewis Co WA. According to the family book, Frederick Aust passed away 11/27/43. Keep in mind I am not sure of the accuracy of this, as I too am searching and the "book" doesn't always have it together. I don't mean to be too crirical, but I've found numerus inacuracies and/or typo errors. Hope to hear from you again, I like meeting new people especially a "relative"Have a good one! Looking for the decendants of Albert Elisha Aust born 1881 in Wiltshire, moved to Cardiff in Wales and married Rosa Jane Collard and had one daughter, wife and daughter died in Australia and Albert remarried to Hilda Alice Brooks 1890-1971 they had 5 children. Albert died in Western Australia 1976.

My grandmother was Florance Wood Smith. Florance Smith's Parents were William and Catherine (Katie) Aust Wood. Catherine Wood's parents were William and Bertha Aust. Catherine died in 1930 at Des Moines Iowa. She was born in sept.,1882 at Pipestone, MN. Is there any possiblity that we have a connection???

According to this book there was a Bryan Aust who served as a councillor in 1978. There's also mention of the "Aust" store in Big River.

I am looking for ancestors of my AUST family. They came from Gotschdorf, Hirschberg, Slesia.
My last known ancestor is Gotthold AUST, born 1799 in Gotschdorf. His wife was Beate HEYMANN. His ancestor was Benjamin AUST. But I know nothing at all about him.

Jeff here. 37 years old. Born in California to Jerome (Jerry) and Nancy. Now I live in North Texas. I haven't spoke to any Aust's in perhaps 30 years. Mom doesn't count since she's not really an Aust! I think Jerry lives in Arizona now but not sure. Nancy is doing great with her 4th husband Dale (Jerry was her second husband - this marriage will last!). Ironically she lives in Arizona, too.

If I remember correctly my mother says Aust used to be Ast. I don't know. I really know nothing about my Aust lineage.

If you want to say hello let me know....

On a side-note: A finance manager at a car dealership here where I bought my truck told me there is another Jeff Aust here in the town I live in. The address and phone # were not any I had before. I haven't run into the other Jeff Aust!

My wifes ancestors:Aust are from Liebau,Silesia.
Maria Rosina Aust married Johann Carl Weber & they lived in Raokschuetz, Silesia.It is believed her father was Joseph Anton Aust.1786,July 24 was her date of birth..
4 Sons came to America. August Weber in 1850 to Wldenburg,Michigan, his brother Charles to New Ulm, Texas. Thier brother ?? TO Califonia ,Los Angelos County.Another brother to Milwaukee ,Wisconsin.
Johann Weber was a blacksmith as was Charles. August was a carpenter & farmer.1 of the other brothers was a butcher.
I have nothing to share on the Aust family other than this.

On a recent trip to Trowbridge library and WSRO I discovered that my ancestor John Cain(e)s married Sarah Aust in Corsham, Wilts in 1837. From the census it appears that they were both born in Corsham. Is Sarah one of 'your' Corsham Austs? If so please get in touch

Sorry, but I don't have any information about the Bath Aust family. My husband's family were the Corsham (Wilts.) Austs. The two families might well be connected but this would be somewhere around 1400-1500s and I have not managed to get back as far as that! Have you tried www.familysearch.com - there are quite a lot of Austs on the IGI so this might help. Otherwise you could search the 1881 census for a married carpenter by the name of Aust not living with his wife and family and of the smae age group. Do you have the CD set? If not let me know & I can look for you.
