      <description>Austie, Robert&lt;br&gt;Forres.  Thief.  Banished to Plantations for life at Inverness, 9 May 1770.  Transported on "Crawford"  master James McLean, from Port Glasgow.  Landed at Port Oxford, Maryland. 23 July 1771.&lt;br&gt;(SM) (JC)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am not related to this family, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled " Scots Banished to the American Plantations" 1650-1775 by David Dobson.
