Someone of this name was a supernumerary lay clerk in the choir of Norwich Cathedral from Christmas 1859 to Christmas 1860. He also sang alto in the chorus at the Norfolk and Norwich Triennial Musical Festival held in Norwich in 1860.He is probably the same person who is shown as a music teacher in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the 1880 US Census.
