In my first message today, I failed to mention that Anastasie MIGHT have been born May 4, 1812 in Berthierville and - if she is the correct Anastasie - would have had a brother Isidore Demers born January 27, 1806 in Ste. Genevieve, Berthierville, PQ, Canada and who also died July 10, 1893 in Berthierville.

An Isidore Demers shows up in the marriage record of Anastasie's son, Louis P. but the relationship is not mentioned. He is not likely to have been Louis' father, however but with all of the unknowns here, anything is possible, I guess.

Isidore also shows up in some land records - possibly where Anastasie and her children lived although he was never mentioned in the 1871 and 1881 Censuses at that location.

If the birth record is in fact of my Great Great Grandmother Anastasie's, my problem still remains since no marital records seem to exist for Anastasie and no birth records seem to exist for her son - my great grandfather - Louis P. Demers.
I COULD STILL USE YOUR HELP!

If the birth information is accurate, the parents of both of them would have been Francois Demers/Dumet and Genevieve Marseille dit Marionelle. Francois appears to have died in Berthierville. If accurate, I am also lacking their marital and birth (+++) information.

Again, Thank you ... thank you ... thank you.
