I was surfing through the message boards and came upon your message re: Howard Avant.

Howard Avant, born April 29, 1886 Cotulla, TX died May 15, 1967 in Hawthorne, Mineral Co., NV. He was buried in May 1967 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Yerington, Mineral Co., NV.

He was the son of Jesse Lafayette Avant and Ella Simons. He was married first to Lallie Jorgenson on Jan. 1, 1910 in Cotulla, TX. Married second to Mary Stanitzky in El Paso, TX in 1917.

Mary Stanitzky was the older sister of my grandmother Beatrice Alice Stanitzky who died in El Paso when my mother was an infant. I remember when I was a teenager that my mother and great-uncle Tony (Mary's younger brother) went to Nevada to see Uncle Howard and Aunt Mary. If you are decended from Howard's marriage to Mary Stanitzky then you and I are related. Please let me know. If so and you need more info on the Stanitzky family I can help you.
