Roy Fly (Frank Roy Fly) orig Francessco Rocco Mosca is my husbands Grandfather. I would love to see the picture. It has been a while since I have been into the family geneaolgy, but I did find on the ellis island where he and his cousin entered into the country

Are you familiar with any of Roy's family. They are setting up for a Family Reunion Next year at a resort - I have to find the card as we are moving everything and redoing the office, so it is all packed, but I can give you that info

My grt grd father went to America leaving behind his wife Giovanna Mercogliano his son Pellegrino and my grd mother Francesca.
Do you know what part of italy he came from? my Nicola lived in Cimitile Naples...don't know if he was born there though.

My Granfathers name was Nicola Avella he came to America around the turn of the century. He married Sucortz [Sue Luciano] and had 7-8 children One child was my Father -Carlo Avello - Some how the A was changed to an O when the children registered into the school sysytem.

Not sure if it is the same person?

Hi Philadelphia Avellas,

My great grandmother was Cleotilda or Clotilda Avella and she came from Mexico around the 1900's. She was born sometime around 1878-1880. We don't know how long they lived in Mexico, but may have originated elsewhere. I doubt we are related to you, but it is always possible.

Think he was born in Cimitile Naples, but not sure.

Hello, My father has a picture he believes is his g-grandmother, who is identified as Mincey Avella. She lived in West Virginia (Welch or Premier?), and had a daughter named Mary Keaton. Her daughter married Roy Fly from Italy. I would appreciate any information anyone might have on Mincey or her family. Thanks, Laura
