Thanks for the information Mariea. I will pass it on to my Averell/Wallace cousins. I'll have to ask Bill Wallace, Eliza's son, (just celebrated his 95th) about a child with Parkinson's. It would have to be his brother James who died in his 2nd year (1913). I'm not sure now if Eliza had a brother Samuel. I know from first hand research she had a brother James Averell, b. 1873, a brother Robert John Averell, b. 1874, and a sister Matilda, b. 1884. I have Eliza's birth certificate that shows her b.d as 6 Oct 1875. On US census reports she shows 1881 and 1882 as birth years. I have her parents marriage certificate. Her father was Robert Averell (b.1845) marrying Margaret McDonald (b. 1844) in Maghera, Derry, 17 Apr 1869. Witnesses were Robert Stewart and Francis McGuigan. The son Robert John married a Mary ? in 1896. they had 3 children, Robert (b. 1897), William (b. 1899), and Peveril (b.1900). Mary ? died about 1904. The son Robert John came to Philadelphia with Eliza on her 2nd trip to the states in 1905. He was listed on the ship manifest as widowed. I don't know what happened to the children. I do know the oldest son was living with his grandparents in 1901 (1901 census). I suspect Eliza returned to Derry in late 1904, early 1905 because of family deaths (mother and/or father and/or Mary ?). I haven't really persued death dates in Ireland yet.
