Just looked back through old messages and found that I missed your query about how Hall(2) died.I have his death cert dated 22 March 1860. Cause of death comp fracture of skull. Near the Laing Shipbuilding yard Deptford Bishopwearmouth.

Also found Hall Laing(3) in 1881 Census, a joiner,living at 36 Deptford Terrace, with wife Ellen and children

Also a John Knight aged 30.

I think my project for the winter must be to go back to Sunderland Local Studies and try to find these people.
