i have just read your message concerning Isabella laing whose father was hall Laing. I see you have been in contact with John Mallum so you have probably received some answers. My ancestor was james laing (he was isabella's sister) which leads us to the same Hall Laing and his wife mary clark. hall's father was also a hall Laing married to a jane gutherie. Maybe you already have this if not please contact me
