My father is Raymond Banosantos Aviles and he was with the 1st Filipino Infantry, US Army, during WWI and was introduced to the Aviles family in Ormoc when he was passing through to Pangasinan. He and my mom, Ruth Alonso Aviles, have gone back to Ormoc City a few times to meet with your family (recently in 2000), specifically, Laura Aviles and her two sisters and Jose Aviles, the former mayor. Interestingly enough, my dad's brother was also named Jose and he was mayor of Mangatarem, Pangasinan and a former secretary of the House of Representatives. In Manila, the Aviles home is in Mandaluyong and one of my nephews, also named Jose (Pepito) and his wife have a renowned architectural firm. The Aviles name is well known!
Ron
rjaviles_us@yahoo.com

Joy, my family is also from Pangasinan (Lingayen, Urbiztondo and Mangatarem). My grandfather is Gregorio Aviles and his wife, Maria Banosantos Aviles, was from Lingayen and they had five children (Jose, Pacing, Raymond, Corazon and Tunying). My Dad, Raymond, who came to the US in 1928 mentioned that Gregorio had siblings in Lingayen and I presume that your Mother's parents could either be siblings or cousins of Gregorio. Can you ask her? It would be interesting to find the connections....
Ron
rjaviles_us@yahoo.com

Andres Ferrer Aviles, Jr...I think we are related. My father, Raymond Banosantos Aviles was your father's first cousin and helped him come to the US in 1928. Our families are from Pangasinan (Urbiztondo, Lingayen and Mangatarem) and Dad and our family settled in San Francisco and I believe you and your two sisters were born in San Jose. We need to get in touch. Dad passed away last Sept at age 99 and always spoke of finding you and your family since we lost contact in the 60s. Please email me at rjaviles_us@yahoo.com so we can touch base. This is awesome!
Ron Aviles

----begin included message-----
Hi my name is Andres Ferrer Aviles, Jr, my father was born in the Pangasinan area-not sure which area he is Andres Ferrer Aviles as well.
My grandfather is Gregorio Aviles, of Urbiztondo Pangasinan who had 5 children (Jose, Pacing, Raymond, Tunying, and Corazon). Grandmother is Maria Banosantos Aviles of Lingayen. Gregorio had siblings who I presume one of which was Andres. My father, Raymond, came to the US in 1928 and recently passed at 99yrs. We are related to the Ferrers (Andres Ferrer Aviles), also of Pangasinan who are in the SF Bay Area and trying to find. You and I are most likely related through our grandparents...pls contact me.
Ron
rjaviles_us@yahoo.com

---begin included message---
Not sure if we're at all related - I'm in Canada at this time - but my mother is an Aviles born in Pangasinan to Anatalia (nee Jacob) Aviles and Andres (I think) Aviles. There are still a number of Aviles families back home, and as far as I know, any Aviles filipinos in Canada are my direct family members. Curious to know if there's a connection!
---end included message---

If you are related to us, I need to communicate with you... my name is Carol and I am from Toronto, Canada.

There's a bunch of us in Latin America, too! I met some of the Ormoc Avileses through Jose Aviles, the former Vice-Mayor. He brought me to his house to meet his family when he learned I was an Aviles. I also know there is a big Aviles clan in Pangasinan which extends to Cagayan Valley (I'm not sure if they come from from the same branch of the tree, though). Nice hearing from you.

Hello, - my name is Teresa Holland nee Aviles.

I don't speak Spanish - but I understood enough to read your post on Ancestry.com about Genaro Aviles.

Are you related to Coca (Rose?) Correa. I am the granddaughter of Teresa Correa Aviles thru Genaro.
My mother married Genaro and they once shared a house in South Ozone Park, Queens, NY with Coca's daughter - Rose Bonilla? I believe it was Coca's house. My grandmother, Teresa Correa Aviles, passed away just a week ago. I believe she was the last of the Correa sisters. She was 99.

All of my father's siblings are still alive: Rubia, Miriam, Teresa, Ralph & Frankie. We just saw them at all this weekend past at my grandmother's funeral. Best regards, your cousin Teresa

Hi
My name is Miriam Ortolaza, father Juan born in Matrulla, Puerto Rico, grandmother Juana Torres. My father also mentioned La Francia. The only people I know are immediate family members, but I also know that we are related one way or another. Question your mother about relatives. I am 46 years old, and I do remember my father mentioning a coussin named Bernardo who had a son Abelardo. Also, my father had an uncle whose name was Juan who committed suicide.

My father, Tomas Aviles Lopez was the 3 child born to Eleuterio Aviles Marquez and Maria Antonia Lopez Rivera. Altogether, there were (9) children born to them. The older ones, my father included were born in Moca, and some of the younger ones were born in San Sebastian. My Great Grandparents were Manual Aviles Hililfonsa Marquez, Zoilo Lopez and Juana Evangelista Rivera de Barrio Plata in Moca, Puerto Rico. Perhaps our fathers were cousins as my father was born in 1906. Sorry, that I have no other information. E-mail me if you would like to further discuss this situation.

My e-mail address is Margie290@aol.com

Margarita Aviles Martinez de Ortiz
