My maternal grandfather was Sydney Axten. He came from Kent and had a sister Gertrude. I do not know if he had any other siblings. Sydney was a carpenter. He died in his early 50s from a sudden massive heart attack.

In the early 1900s, he emigrated to Canada where he met and married my maternal grandmother, Margaret Greer. Margaret was one of about 13 siblings; her parents were Jane and John Greer. This Greer family came from Donegal, Ireland.

Sydney and Margaret Axten had 2 daughters, Jean and Margaret Frances. They also raised James (Jim) and John (Jack) Lee when their parents died during the Spanish flu epidemic circa 1915/16. These 2 boys were children of one of Margaret's many siblings.

Can anybody provide any other information? My email may change to very soon.
Thanks for any information anyone might have.
