Hi Dawn -
I found some information in the censuses for Reba Slagle Ayars and Robert's grandaughter managed to find out a little bit of information from Robert, but it is confusing. I can't find where I put the information I gathered at the moment. I found a John and Sarah (Sallie) Slagle in the cenus who Robert said (to his grandaughter ) where his parents, but I think they were actually his grandparents. They were the parents of Reba according to the census information I looked at. They (John and Sarah had a lot of children - that's all I can remember without having the informatio in front of me. Slagle was spelled several ways - Schlagel, Schlagle, Slagel, Slagle. If Reba was your great grandmother, what was your grandmothers name? Robert's grandaughter is my friend (since we were about 3 and 5 years old) and she is interested in inding out her 'true' family history since Robert was actually a Slagle (spelling?) and not an Ayars. Someone in thr family told Roberts grandaughter that Reba was actually Roberts Aunt. I have been trying to sort it all out for her.

Thanks for replying -
Dawn D.
