Last president of the Audencia of Quito (April-May 1822); defeated by the rebel army of Gen. Jose Antonio de Sucre at the battle of Pichincha (May 24, 1822), he formally surrended two days later.

I am from Spain and have been living in DC since 1989. My family is still back home.

I have a brother who has been researching our last name for a while. His name is Ignacio Aymerich. I can give you his e-mail message, if you are interested.

There is a guy named Arturo Aymerich (art74@hotmail.com) who sent me a message a while ago. He was trying to research the name.

I have heard several theories about the genealogy of our last name. Let me know what you find out.

Well My family came from Cuba in 1960 . There are quite a few Aymeriches in Miami ,FL
