I've seen that from other people's family tree records, but I don't know if it's entirely correct. For example, Onile's death certificate states that his father was Douglas Aymond...not Marcelin. I talked with an older gentlemen in Evergreen, LA. who remembered talking with Onile when he was a young man...he even claimed he helped dig Onile's grave in the Little Flowers Cememtry. He could not remember Onile's father's name exactly, but did not seem to think it was Marcelin. As far as I have seen, Douglas was not a common name for the Aymond's around that time so I assume that the Douglas listed on Onile's death certificate is Joseph Douglas Aymond. Both Florence and Florian Aymond are listed as surviving sister/brother on Onile's obituary. Both Florence and Florian have Douglas listed as father on their death certificate as well. I wish I could find an obituary for Douglas Aymond or his death certificate. I've not found it yet. Any suggestions on where I should try to look next?
