Hi Mike! It's been a very long time since I've worked on family history, so I'm a little rusty. But, I checked my Family Tree Maker (FTM) and found our connection with Helen Baar.

My great-grandmother's brother, Albert Abe (pronounced Abby), married Mathilda Rejda Brokate on Aug. 17, 1907. Apparently, Helen Brokate, Mathilda's daughter, was two years old at time of marriage. I don't show any adoption records, but Helen used the Abe last name according to obits I have.
