Baas Family history?

Hi,
I was born a Baas in Amsterdam Holland and emigrated to the US (California) in 1962
I'm curious about any other "Baas" in this country and wonder if there is
a family relationship? My dad had two brothers Piet and Dick who never had any children
to carry on the family name.
