Christian Baaz of Germany married Barbara Mohrbacher of Germany on 1/25/1780 in Germany. They had several children --- one of which was a Lorenz Petrus Baas (no longer Baaz).
Lorenz Baas ( 3/19/1796 - abt.1858,born in Germany, died in New Orleans)married Susanne Haupt of Germany (1/1/1802 - 8/13/1867, died in N.O.)on 5/14/1831 in Germany. I could not find out where Lorenz is buried, but Susanna is buried at the Greenwood Cem. in N.O. --- Cypress St. No. 19 between Aloe and Cedar Walk's.

Lorenz and susanna had the following Children all born in Germany : Catherine b.9/23/1833, Peter b. 9/23/1831, Philippus b.1/16/1837, d.4/17/1875, Barbara b. 8/15/1839 d. 4/7/1924, Ambrosius b. 4/21/1843 d. 8/1/1873, Gottfriedus b. 3/26/1846 d. 10/15/1871, and Francis b. 5/27/1849.
Lorenz and Susanna came to New Orleans aboard the ship "Globe" on 5/26/1852.
You are definitely linked to this Baas line, but I do not know which of the male children of Lorenz and Susanna you are linked to. I am directly tied to Barbara Baas. There are numerous Baas burials at the Greenwood cemetery. Cypress street no. 19 and Mulberry st. 20 are the two gravesites that I have visited. If you have any other death dates or marriage dates for any of the people listed above , please let me know.
