Classification: Query
Surnames: Baas
I have Anna Jane Treutelaar/Freutelaar/Greutelaar [b Jun 1854 in New York] married to a different John Gottlieb Baas. He was born Jul 1850 in Milwaukee,WI and was the son of Heinrich August Ferdinand Baas b. 18 Mar 1825 Pritter, Wollin, Pommern, Germany and Louisa Frederica Jensen b. Abt 1812. In turn, Heinrich August Ferdinand Baas is the son of Ernst Christian Baas b. 1798 Wender auf Wollin, Pommern, Germany and Sophie Juliane Rusch. Ernst Christian Baas is the son of Johann Baas and Anna Maria Jancke.
This makes sense because the first Johann Gottlieb Baas [ I have him listed as a Jr.] was born in 1798 and would not have married Anna Jane Treutelaar/Freutelaar/Greutelaar [b Jun 1854] in 1873, he would have been 75 years old.
The two similiar names are confusing.
Johann Gottlieb Baas Jr. married twice 1. Regina Pluedemann > one child = Karloine Wilhelmine Baas b. 21 Aug 1829 Pritter, Wollin, Pommern, Prussia, Germany and 2.Fredericke Charlotte Christine Karstaedt of Coserow, Pommern, Prussia, Germany > 3 children = A.Ernst Christian August Baas b. 19 Feb 1851 Pritter auf Wollin, Pommern, Prussia, Germany died 15 Mar 1922 B.Emilie Pauline Augusta Baas b. 30 Oct 1852 same place d. 1912 C.Louis Emil Henrich Baas b.28 Mar 1855 same place.
I hope that helps.
