My grandmother was Elsie (not Elizabeth) - her parents were Charles (Karl) and Katherine Sommers from Germany. My email is dg5125@sbcglobal.net. The other siblings are correct William (who lived most of his life in Washington and died there) I never met him; Bertha (Bert) who married Hackert - they had a farm in Michigan (I remember going to visit as a little girl) they had a daughter Dorothy and adopted a son (who was killed in WWII); Frances (the youngest) lived her life in Brighton Park in Chicago, she had several kids (married name Rovak) children: Katie, Carol, Barbara, Nancy, Jim, Tom. Henry (Hank) died in his 40's, he had one step-son Joey (but different last name). My Aunt Lil gave birth to twin girls (Joan and another who didn't make it or died shortly after birth and her husband left her). So Aunt Lil and her baby Joan ended up living with Ann (she worked as a furrier). I can't find any records going back into Germany. My grandmother (Elsie) married John Pasquini - had 2 children (George and Kathleen [my mom]). They divorced and my grandmother remarried and my uncle took his stepfather's name - James Christenson.
I look forward to hearing from you.
