Martha Marie Baatz, b. abt 1862 in Fefiance, Ohio.

John G. Baatz b. 23 January 1869 Defiance, Ohio.
Alice Baatz b. 26 September 1873 Kasson Township, MI.
Herman Leo Baatz b. 23 September 1875 Kasson Twp., MI. d. 25 August 1959 in MI.

That is what I have of the beginning of the Baatz clan. Kasson Town is just east of Traverse City, now a ghost town.
Also am sure Johnwas not the only child of Hans Baatz in Germany.
