My Great Grandmother's maiden name was Laura Babb, quite a bit of the information I have found which other people have listed is incorrect. My sister and I have traced the Babb family in Texas back to Coryell Countyy (Gatesville and Copperas Cove). There is a small town there called Pancake, it was once named Babbsville, but because some of the Babbs were outlaws, they were run out of town and the name changed. Laura Babb met a man from Victoria, Texas, name Homer Tippett and accompanied him to Tom Green County, Texas, where he became a cattle baron. She passed away from disease in the early 1920's. Also, the date of her daughter, June Tippett is incorrect, she passed away 30 Dec, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. I am just begining my geneology quest, so I'm not sure what "protocol" to use, but the above information is correct.
