Walter Issac Babb B. 1898, Son of William Issac Babb and married to Jewel Babb did indeed go to Mexico to live out his life. Per my Aunt Dorothy (Stapp) Askins of Pumpville, Tx and niece of Walter, he went to Mexico as a result of a apparent fling (speculation)Jewel had with a musician however. Evidently Jewel played the piano and teamed up with this musician for entertainment over what period of time is unknown. Walter, not happy over this event, chose Mexico over shooting the guy. From what we understand he lived with or married a Mexican woman and had several more children, one of which is a lawyer or a judge today. No mention of any of this is in Jewel's book for apparent reasons. Again this is word of mouth. I am still searching for more info. Walter was my grandmother, Rosa Ellen (Babb) Stapp's brother.
