DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Travis A. Babbitt, 24, of Uvalde, Texas, died November 9 in Baghdad, Iraq, when his patrol was attacked by enemy forces using a rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire. Babbitt was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
