Eula Mae married William Monroe Eitel & they had a son, William Clarence Eitel.

2nd 9/8/1903 Owen Co.,In. to Burley Closson/Clawson, 3rd 3/8/1919 Alvan Mailett/Mallett in Owen Co.,In., 4th? to Orville Allen of Ellettsville, but don't know when or where.
Can't find any record of her dying in Owen or Monroe Cos.,In.

My Great grandfather. 1864-1943. Mother named Eliza. Earliest that I find him is in Hickory seven, coles county Illinois. Methodist Minister. He died in lafayette, Indiana. Married Cora (sometimes Kora) Kaiser date unknown. One daughter Dorothy Louise. She Married Delbert Alphonso Armstrong July 1930. One daughter, Joan Diane 1931- My mother now deceased. Arthur Wrote 4 books that we know of. I do not know much about him or his family. Looking for cousins, relations, etc. We do not have a photo of him.

Marshall L. Babbs of New Albany, Indiana is listed as being killed October 24, 1944. He is missing or buried at sea and his name appears on the "Tablets of the Missing" at the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines. We are searching for any information about his military and civilian life.

I am a retired Hoosier from Madison County residing in the Philippines with my Filipino wife. We are seeking family and military information about servicemen from your county killed in the South Pacific during World War II. There are 17,206 Americans buried here and thousands more that are missing or buried at sea and are honored on the “Tablets of the Missing”. My wife and I visited the cemetery as visitors and left with a mission in our heart. We have been taking photographs of the graves of the Indiana servicemen buried here and have been uniting them (at no charge) with their family members in Indiana and across the United States. To receive the photo of your family member, neighbor or friend all you need is a working email address. We do not send them to regular mailing addresses due to the costs. Please help us find the families of the men that might still be living. Our project is only successful because of teamwork and your contributions are noted on our website. If you wish to help us we will be pleased to add your name to our ACKNOWLEDGMENT page on the website. The obituaries usually did not appear till to three months after the death date.

If you are not a genealogist you can help by just picking up the telephone directory and find someone with the same last name and give them a call. It has worked many times for us.

Samuel was the sibling of my great grandfather. I have details of his parents and brothers and sisters, but as I have only just started geneology I have not followed down his line.

I'd be interested if you have any info on Samules grand father Joseph Babbs born around 1801, possibly in Dudley.

Flossie married Matthew Bailey in 1927 in Collin Co, TX, their children were Ruthy Lee and Joseph Robert

It is thought that Flossie Lee's father was named Walter and they came from Nebraska but I haven't found anything on that yet, except a note that indicated it may be Salem, Franklin Co, NE. It is also thought her mother was a Brinager. But there may be something on the name LEE as well since it is her middle name as well as for her son and daughter.

Looking for anything that can guide me to the right family.

I happen to know that my grandmother's maiden name was Babbs. Her first name is florence but is better known as Mollie. She is now in her seventies. Once lived in Plymouth, Devon with her sister Louie and another sister and brother by her mother's marriage (don't know their names).

I'am still looking for information on a Chloe (Spiller) Threlkeld ( Thrailkill) there are two ways my Family spelled our last name .After her Husband died in Va. she moved to Clinton Co. Ohio with their 11 children and bought land from John Allen , she then somewhere between 1803-1812 married a Thomas Babb born in Frederick Co. Huldah/Hannah Babbs married James Buchanan in Ohio county, IN on April 15, 1849. Her parents were, most likely, William Babbs and Rhoda Dixon. This has been a very elusive branch to trace. William came to Dearborn county, IN as part of his father's (John Babbs) family. He married Rhoda in IN, but a courthouse fire has destroyed those records. William and Rhoda later moved to IL. Some info is posted on rootsweb, but there are some discrepancies. Hannah/Huldah is listed as being born in 1830. The Hannah vs Huldah issue could simply be a reading/spelling problem, a name conflict with an aunt (William had a sister Huldah), or they could be 2 different people (William had siblings living in the area so Hannah and Huldah could be cousins). Have more info if you want it. Hope this "helps". good luck!
