This newspaper clipping was found recently amongst my grandmothers belongings after her death. She lived in his same apartment building and must have known this man.

Earl Hooper Babcock, 80, of 1261 Marywood Lane, Richmond, Virginia died Sunday August 18, 1991 at Henrico Doctors Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two children, Patricia Babcock Waybright of Richmond, and William Earl Babcock of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren, Pamela Waybright Duffy of Richmond, Karen Babcock Brassea of New York, Douglas Ray Babcock of Raleigh, NC, Steven Christian Babcock and David William Babcock both of Minn., Minn, two great-grandchildren, Kristofer and Patrick Babcock both of Raleigh; two sisters, Dorothy Finch of Richmond, and Althea Ingram of Amelia; two brothers. Edward Babcock of Florida, and Daniel Babcock of Richmond. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00am Wednesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at home from 7:00pm-8:30pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ashland Rescue Squad.
