I know it has been quite awhile since the last post but I thought I might be able to help. My mothers maiden name is Boebel. They come from Grant County, WI as well. I have a family tree and a little oral history on the Boebel family I am happy to share.

When you say Fred Boebel do you mean Fred Boebel born in Germany in 1829 and died in 1914, or Friedrick "Fred" L. Boebel born in 1862 in Grant County, WI and died in 1945 in WI?
