Babic from Sveti Rok

Babic Babich Miletic Miletich

My grandfather was Dujo Babic (1887?) from S.R. Between 1910-1915, he left behind a wife, Marija (maiden name n.k.) and a son, Mile. This was when Croatia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

My grandmother was also a Marija (maiden name Miletic?) from S.R. Her first husband was also a Babic and came to America with her. She had two children, in America, by him: Emile (Mitch) and Catherine. Catherine married a Jacobs, then Walter Miletic (cousin).

Dujo and Marija died in 1938 and 1939. They had five sons: Joseph, Matthew, John, Thomas, and Daniel. All except Daniel are deceased.

My family would love to have any information about our relatives in Croatia.

Maria Babic

I have a Maria Babic who married Anton Germ. They had a son Johan (b: Feb 1870) who immigrated to the United States in 1889. Johan married Catherine Leskovic. In Johan's naturalization papers (1901) he says he was from Austria and in his marriage records he says he was from Hungaria (1894). Wondering if anyone has any information to help me along.
