Since you already have the information in the baptism record, what is it you're looking for? She was baptized in that parish on 22 March 1872. I seem to have found all the names and dates I'm looking for--I've finally made the leap that allowed me to trace my line all the way back to Antoine Babin.

But what I'm wondering--and haven't been able to find--is who he was. Any Google searches only bring up other trees and descendancy information. I'm looking for information on his occupation (and any of his descendants), his role in the colony, etc. About all I've found is that 24 Babins signed the Oath of Allegiance in 1730. This is the kind of information I'm looking for--the history side of things.

Anybody know where I can find this?

My Grandmother was MARIE "ELISE" BABIN born on March 16 1872 in Caplan Quebec. The Parish would have been St. Charles de Caplan in Quebec. Elise was the daughter of
Alexandre Babin & Josephine Cyr.

I've received a picture of my Gr. Grandparents, ALEXANDRE BABIN & JOSEPHINE CYR, and its Great to see just what they looked like. The picture was probably taken around 1910-1915 I'm quessing. Would you happen to know if JOSEPHINE CYR had any Native Ancestry, as in this photo she looks like she could have? Also is my Gr. Sosthene Babin was married to Roseline Gautreau. They had two children: Marie Nesida Rose and Ozile Babin. This Sosthene is related to Leo Babin. They are both sons of Derosin Babin and Eleonore Villeneuve, along with numerous other children.
Please contact me regarding Leo Babin. I really would like to ask you some questions regarding him. Because it has been several years since I first posted this, I would like to give everyone an update. At the present time, I really need to hear from descendants of Eugene Babin, Alzide Babin Duplessis, Ulger Babin and Leo Babin. I have pictures of the following:
Bathilde Babin, Adam Babin, Sosthene Babin, Belonie Babin, and Mathilde Babin.

Well, i still have no proof of native ancestry although i feel there is possibly micmac in our a couple of ancestors...i cannot say for sure though.

Marie Adele Thibodeau Poirier/Perry...(the name was anglasized when Adele and Cal moved to St.John NB in the 1920's or 1930's) died on December 14, 1964 at the home of her eldest daughter Marie Domine LeBlanc in Toronto Ontario..Marie Adele is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Toronto Ontario Canada.

My grandmother and my father remember Harvey as Hervey.
They were all born in Nova Scotia around Yarmouth. My grandmother talks about the towns of Roco Pointe or Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau. Also I do know that Annie Gertrude Babin lived with my grandparents at the end of her life and she died of an awful illness that I should find out about soon and will pass on to you.

I can't find those dates. I will verify later at the Genealogic Society F. C. of Mtl. (SGCF).

It is possible that your grandparents moved from Caplan after september 1909, because I found nine childrens born before this date. I give you all what I found from now.

I am searching for the parents of Anatole Babin (d. 28 MAR 1897) who married on 15 JAN 1868 to Caroline Broussard (b. 1 JAN 1841, d. 23 JUN 1906). Anatole and Caroline (Broussard) Babin are my 2nd Great-Grandparents.
