Babineau / Rousseau families in Michigan & Wisconsin

Surnames: Babineau, Rousseau
My great grandfather, John Jonas ROUSSEAU was born May 17, 1875 in Beaver Island, Michigan to Charles & Charlotte ROUSSEAU. I have found 2 maiden surnames for Charlotte (MARTIN & BABINEAU). I don't know which one is correct yet.
John was raised on or near the Red Cliff Reservation in Bayfield County, Wisconsin possibly in an orphanage. Also, my grandmother used to talk about visiting a relative (Charlie BABINEAU) in Bayfield, WI.
If anyone has any information on these families PLEASE contact me. This has been a brick wall for 6 years and I'm very ready for it to fall apart!!!!
