Eileen BABINEAU ~ lived Wisconsin or Indiana in 1920's

I am interested in finding the relatives of Eileen Babineau. I believe she may have lived in Wisconsin or Indiana around the early 1920's - perhaps even around the turn of the century. I found photos of her first communion that I would like to ID for certain. Ther were found in northern Wisconsin and I believe Babineaus were neighbors or distant relatives of my g grandparents.

Other children of Urbain and Sophie that lived are: Phillipe Babineau b. 1861 married Celina Dore. They had a daughter Rose who married Honore Hebert in CT. 1909.
Cyrille b. 1845 married Mary Wilson, and I know nothing of them.
Marie Alezia b. in 1855, no marriage info on her.
Marie Zelia b. 1846 and listed as deaf and dumb in the census, married Alfred Bergeron.
Looking for some Babineau cousin's!
Carol Hibbard (Hebert) Grainger

My great grandfather, John Jonas ROUSSEAU was born May 17, 1875 in Beaver Island, Michigan to Charles & Charlotte Rousseau. I have found 2 maiden surnames for Charlotte (MARTIN & BABINEAU). I don't know which one is correct yet.
John was raised on or near the Red Cliff Reservation in Bayfield County, Wisconsin possibly in an orphanage. Also, my grandmother used to talk about visiting a relative (Charlie BABINEAU) in Bayfield, WI.
If anyone has any information on these families PLEASE contact me. This has been a brick wall for 6 years and I'm very ready for it to fall apart!!!!
Thank you,
Delayne

I am searching for information on my Babineaux ancestors. I know very little about them, unfortunately. What I do know is that one of them, Josephine Babineaux, married Benoit Baron Bayard October 17, 1842 in St. Peter's Church, New Iberia, La. Listed as a witness is Donlouir Babino.

They are listed in the 1870 census for Iberia Parish with children; Olympe, Benoit and Nicholas. In 1860 there is also a Josephine listed among the children.

Son Benoit Baron Bayard's baptismal certificate lists a David Babineaux as a sponsor and is dated April 1851, agaun at St. Peter's Church in New Iberia. La.

I have copied down other Babineaux names in the area during those census years but have had no luck so far connecting them with my ancestor. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rosemarie. Recently found the link I needed to the more distant past!
My paternal grandmother was Josephine Babineau, married to Hippolyte Thivierge, (which was eventually changed to Paul Beaulieu!)
Josephine's father was Joseph Babineau, and her mother was Marguerite Lirette. If all the information I found is correct, I am a descendant of Nicolas Babineau through Joseph, Joseph, Jean-Pierre and Sylvain. Now to Hippolyte Thivierge.
I have one living relative who would truly love to hear more about him. This relative is in her 90's. Any leads would be appreciated. It's possibly he was from Isle of Orleans, but I'm not sure about this info. Thank you! Arline

Fannie Frances BABINO (Babineau, Babineaux) m.bef.1905 Walter BROWN ~ New Iberia

Hello to all Babineaux decendants/relatives?
My name is Michelle Crowell of Elk Grove, CA. I was born Michelle Rena Alexander in Los Angeles, CA. My sisters and I have just started learning about our family history and are "newbies" to genealogy research. We think we may be related to the Babino's of New Iberia, LA. We just received a copy of maternal grandfather's (Raymond Charles Brown 3/28/1905 to 7/23/1979) death certificate which listed Fannie Frances Babino as his mother and Walter Brown as his father. It also lists Raymond's place of birth as New Iberia. He died in Lake Charles. LA. Our mother, Rose Marie Brown, was born to Raymond C. Brown and Bertha M. Taylor on 11/23/1929 in Alexandria, LA. Our mother and her parents died when we were all young, so we don't know the history of our mom's family. Any information on, and connections to our Babino branch of the tree would really be appreciated. We have lost more than a parent, we have lost our history...I can be reached through my email address. May God Bless You All and Thanks in Advance for any information that you are willing to share. Cousin Michelle Crowell

Marguerite BABINEAU m. Andre MARTIN ~ NB, Canada

Is anyone related or know of htis family?
Andre Martin (child of Barbe Gray and Joseph Martin) born 1820/21 at Baie St. Anne, NB who could be the same Andre Martin who married Marguerite Babineau on May 14, 1850 in Buctouche, NB. ANdre Martin could have also lived in Egmont Bay , PEI, Canada when his Mother Barbare Gray later remarried a Barry. Here are more clues to this line.
Barbara Grey may have been from Miramichi, New Brunswick. In the spring of 1836, Mr. Barry traveled between Miramichi and PEI on the ship Triumph. A Barbe Grey (resident of Grand Kichibogouche, oldest daughter of Andre Gray and the deceased Marie Mathes) married Joseph Martin, laborer, living in New Castle, in St. Antoine's RC, Richibucto, NB; on 9 Nov 1816. If this is the Barbara Grey who subsequently married John Barry, she would have been 19 at this first marriage and approximately 38 at her second marriage - which would be reasonable for three children to be born from her second marriage

In tracing my family line I came I have come to a dead end with Isidore Leger who marries Gertrude Babineau 23Sept1872 in Grand-Digue, Kent, NB. I am not sure if this is the Isidore I am looking for because his father was born in 1855 but I am still curious about where he fits in the scheme of things. I think they may have migrated to Waltham, MA, USA since there is a marriage of a daughter named Nathalie (22yrs.) 3Jul1905 registered there. Does anyone know about Isidore and Gertrude?
