I am looking for information on this branch of the Australian Babingtons.
There ismuch conflicting information and John seems to have left, family tradition says he drowned at forty-two which does not seem the case. Any information would be really appreciated.
John Dunn Babington and his wife Henrietta Esmond married in 1879 in Victoria. They had eight children, six of whom survived infancy, they were:

James Henry 1880/1-1965 married: Mary Ann Ifield

John William (known as William) 1882-1961? married Emily Towns

Marcella Emily 1883-1883

Henrietta Maud 1884-? married Jim Russell

Arthur Esmond 1887-1982? married Annie Elmarie Morgan (known as Marie)

Sydney Gordon 1889-1970 married Ada Henman

Marcella E E 1891-? married George Anderson
