I do apologize as I am new to ancestry. I just retired from the Kansas City Chiefs NFL after 37 years and have nothing to do now. I have dabbled in this for several years, but I am such a novice. I now use FTM 2012 and got a lot of info from my uncle Orville who lived in Brookfield, MO.(Abraham-John-Lon-Orville). I read your account of Abraham and was very impressed to you knowledge. I only wish I had done more while people were alive to ask them questions. I have you as (Randle Leland Smith-Beth Harriett Bachtel-Harry Clyde Bachtel-Aaron Bachtel). Is this correct? I saw in my email there was a reply to a post and I got excited, but didn't know where to get it since I fell upon your post clearly by mistake. Are you still doing ancestry? I sure would like some guidance if you had some time. How do people exchange information. I could give you access to my tree on line or maybe you already have access. I am so cheap that I go to the library in town to use their access to ancestry library edition so I don't have to pay the monthly subscription. We are cousins, I guess. Have you been doing this long? I would rather talk on the phone since I can't type for shit.
If you have time I have free long distance on my phone and would love to chat with you, if you would have time.
How do I give you my email since everyone in the world including Russia can see this?
Thank you again for answering. This is the first time I have done this. One BIG question is-has Bachtel always been Bachtel or did it originate from Germany as Bechtel and get Americanized? Any info would really be helpful. Again thank you for answering. Ron Bachtel
