Benjamin W Backer, born 5-3-1810 and died 11-26-1854 in Chester, Morris NJ, married Mary W Norris, born 3-1-1815 and died 9-16-1858 in Chester, Morris NJ, on 11-13-1834. On the 1850 census they had 8 children:
i Female child born 1835 name might be Jane, Lana or Laura
ii Theodore born 1837
iii Amelia/Parmelia/Pamelia born 12-26-1839
iv Edmund/Edward born 1840
v Frances Caroline born 1841
vi Harriet Elizabeth born 1843
vii Hannah born 1845
viii Daniel Corwin born 1849
I have not found any information on children i, ii or vii.
Amelia married George S Esten/Eston - 5 children including 2 that died young.
Edmund married Maria Gage - no children.
Frances married George Van Dyke - reportedly had 3 children but have found nothing on family.
Harriet married William Morton - 2 children neither married.
Daniel married Kate Roy - 5 children.
Amelia has had 4 grandchildren that I know of.
Can any one add to what information I have.
Daniel C was named for his uncle Daniel C Norris
