Hi, not actually a Backlund, but am looking for a family who lived 5 houses down from me in Mankato, MN. I was fortunate enough to be best friends with their daughter khia backlund and son Karsten Backlund. Khia became ill with Leukemia and died in November, 1989. I was 11, and she would have turned 11 as well if she had made it to December. Her parents Jan and Mike Backlund sold their house and moved with karsten shortly after.---thought they had moved to Florida, but unnsure.--Just need them to know that khia's memory has a lot to do with me being a nurse.
